It has been 14 years since the Japanese Language and Culture Student Association of Diponegoro University was established, and every March 17th has become a moment to commemorate the beginning of a journey full of enthusiasm. Throughout this journey, Himawari has faced various challenges and achieved remarkable accomplishments, both in academic and non-academic fields, as well as making direct contributions to the community.
Like in previous years, this year Himawari also held the Himawari no Tanjoubi (Hinota) event on March 15 2025, at the Multipurpose Building of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. This special event was enlivened by the presence of the Himawari board and members, who voluntarily gathered to celebrate this joyful moment.

The Himawari no Tanjoubi event began with a warm opening, followed by a speech from the head of Himawari Asteria. In this atmosphere of happiness, several board members also shared their impressions and messages about Himawari, as well as their best wishes for Himawari’s future.
This year’s Hinota event was highlighted by the performance of Harukaze Odori, along with various unique performances from each divisions within Himawari. Each performance not only showcased the talents and creativity of the members but also created an atmosphere full of spirit and enjoyment.

Looking ahead, it is hoped that Himawari can continue to shine and grow, in line with the Himawari Asteria slogan, “Towards a Bright Future Like the Morning Star.” Through this Hinota event, it is also hoped that the members and board of Himawari can continue to strengthen their relationships and build bonds with one another.
