Entrepreneurs are individuals who can create their own business, bear the risks and of course can enjoy the benefits of the business established. Then, entrepreneurial activity itself is the process of setting up and running a business or business. Entrepreneurship has many benefits and impacts both for individuals and the wider community. Therefore, as an educated student and as an agent of change, it is certainly necessary to learn and start entrepreneurship. The benefit of learning entrepreneurship for students is to help motivate students to open jobs for others and themselves and reduce the number of unemployed. This will greatly affect the sustainability of one’s own life and also society.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, the Japanese Language and Culture Department of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University Class of 2020 held a food bazaar event which was one of the assignments from the Entrepreneurship course in semester 6. This bazaar event is a new breakthrough carried out in the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program. This bazaar event is themed “Food Bazaar” with the event name “Ichiba Fest”. Ichiba Fest runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There were 22 booths selling a wide variety of food and drinks. However, apart from food and drinks there were also booths selling key chains and promoting shoe washing services. The first Ichiba Fest event held this year received tremendous enthusiasm from the community, because those who attended and tried the snacks were not only from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. But a lot of customers who attended from other faculties. In addition, not only students were present, but educators, faculty staff, even the dean was also present.
We hope that Ichiba Fest will be even more lively and successful in the years to come! See you at Ichiba Fest next year!
