Undip Students Win 3rd Place in Student Level Roudoku Competition

Semarang, May 12, 2024 – The 2024 Bunkasai Japan Fun Festival (JFF) event organized by the Japanese Literature Study Program, Dr. Soetomo University (Unitomo) has succeeded in attracting the interest of Japanese culture lovers from various universities in Indonesia. Asep Nugroho, a student of the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Diponegoro University (Undip), has succeeded in making his alma mater proud.

In the Bunkasai Japan Fun Festival (JFF) event with the theme “Kokoro ni Nokoru Taikai” which was held on May 11, 2024, Asep won 3rd place in the student level Roudoku competition. The competition, which was held at the FS Lecture Building (H, 2nd floor), was a place for participants to show off their skills in reading Japanese texts well and correctly.

Asep’s success proves that Indonesian students are able to compete at the national level in the field of foreign languages, especially Japanese. With his ability to read Japanese text fluently and with the right intonation, as well as pronouncing the text with feeling, Asep managed to amaze the jury and other participants.
