Curriculum
Curriculum based on the University Database of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture
The curriculum of Bachelor of Japanese Language and Culture (BJLC) is designed with reference to KKNI level 6 which in its application pays attention to the balance between theoretical and practical aspects. The relationship between theoretical content and practical content can be seen in courses using the Student Centered Learning (SCL) approach to practice analytical thinking skills in solving problems, working collaboratively, and at the same time communicating skills, for example in the Contemporary Cultural Studies course.
The deepening of the material is then continued in the Research Methodology course and Pre-Thesis Proposal Seminar, where students have a target to design research in the form of a Thesis proposal. Furthermore, courses that emphasize more on practical skills are also spread over several courses, such as Conversation and Public Speaking, which emphasize communication skills. In addition, students are also given the opportunity to be able to implement the theory learned in internship activities.
The BJLC curriculum has several courses aimed at enabling students to develop abilities in conducting scientific research. The courses are given in stages such as Japanese Prose Studies which studies Japanese literary works with study methods that are in accordance with the field of study, and Scientific Writing Techniques in semester 5. Furthermore, there is Research Methodology in semester 6, and Pre-Thesis Seminar in semester 7 which is then continued. for the preparation of the final thesis (thesis). To improve the methodological skills, students are involved by lecturers in various Research and Publications.
With this curriculum, it is hoped that the vision, mission, goals, and targets of the BJLC study program can be achieved.
