The Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Diponegoro University, on May 28, 2022, held an online workshop on entrepreneurship. The workshop was presented by Mrs. Dinda Gayatri Ranadireksa,MA.,Ph.D from Widyatama University, Bandung, as the speaker for this workshop. This time, the workshop entrepreneurship had “Tips to be an Entrepreneur in Japanese fields” as its theme. Now, she is a Japanese language lecturer at Widyatama University. Besides her experience as a lecturer, she also has a lot of experience as a Master of Ceremony (MC) in various Japanese events and even in world events, and also she has a lot of experience as an interpreter and translator.
According to her, in identifying ideas, we should also look at the actuality of subsisting markets. Even though we tend to have an incredible idealism toward an idea, if the market doesn’t seem to need it, then the effort we’ll be making is not optimal. “It doesn’t mean we drop our idealism, but we have to see the market discharge that vends in reality. And that’s what we called entrepreneurs,” she clarified. Furthermore, in this workshop, she conveyed the prospect of employment as a Japanese Language and Culture graduate, which turned out to be various jobs we could pursue as a Japanese Language and Culture graduate. Then we can find out about motivation, qualifications, and steps of doing entrepreneurship from her in an attempt to optimize our actions or as an additional insight for those of us who are entrepreneurs.
The captivating conclusion within her exposure to this workshop is that in the entrepreneurial world, creativity, innovation, perseverance, patience, and ability are needed in several aspects of both soft skills and hard skills. The tips for us to operate the entrepreneurial world greatly are to possess the motivation, comprehend the qualifications, determine the steps to take, develop leadership skills, execute various preparations and implement effective ways of carrying out an undertaking.
