Basic conversations in Japanese are one of the skills that must be mastered by prospective nurses and caregivers who are preparing to work in Japan. Japan’s need for prospective nurses and caregivers from Indonesia continues to increase every year, especially for prospective nurses and caregivers who are specifically caring for the elderly in Japan. This is motivated by the continued increase in the number of elderly people in Japan every year. Of course this is also a problem for the Japanese government because thus there are fewer productive ages. In addition, the increasing number of elderly people has also become a problem. The community service activity was held on Thursday, November 18, 2016 at the Holy Primary Scholarly Health Science School. Participants in this activity were prospective nurses and caregivers who were prepared to leave for Japan. This activity was also attended by almost all lecturers of Japanese literature and involved several students who were directly involved in the preparation and implementation of this training. The training was opened by Elizabeth Ika Hesti, ANR, S.S, M.Hum as chairman of the Japanese Literature S1 study program. Followed by the delivery of material delivered by Fajria Noviana, M. Hum and S.I Trahutami, M. Hum. The material includes an explanation of the basic conversations of Japanese and material regarding the introduction of the Japanese work culture. After the material is delivered, followed by basic conversational practices in Japanese. Furthermore, there was a question and answer session, which was enthusiastically welcomed by the participants. The activity ended with a closing by the chairman of the committee, Maharani P. Ratna, M. Hum.
