On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the Student Association of Japanese Language and Culture at Diponegoro University (HMPS S1 Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Jepang Undip) held its annual highly anticipated event, Himawari Active (HIMACT). The event was designed to provide a platform for students to share information about scholarships, competitions, and to inspire them to achieve excellence in these fields. With full support from Dian Annisa Nur Ridha, S.S., M.A. (Dian Sensei), and Asbi Suar Fandi (BKJ 22) as guest speakers, HIMACT successfully became a valuable source of inspiration and knowledge.
HIMACT took the form of a talk show involving BKJ students who have achieved remarkable success in various competitions and obtained scholarships. In the first session of HIMACT, the focus was on a sharing session by Asbi Suar Fandi, a BKJ student from the class of 2022, who has achieved great success in various competitions. Asbi Suar Fandi shared preparation strategies, challenges faced, and the joy of receiving awards in prestigious competitions. His personal experiences inspired HIMACT participants to push their boundaries, actively engage in various competitions, and demonstrated that hard work and dedication can yield exceptional results.
In the second session, Dian Sensei shared her experiences with the MEXT scholarship, including the application process, preparation, and challenges faced. Dian Sensei provided valuable insights to HIMACT participants about the opportunities offered by the MEXT scholarship and how they can better prepare themselves to face it. Her informative and inspirational presentation helped participants gain a better understanding of the application process and ignited their enthusiasm to pursue similar dreams.
The sharing and Q&A sessions during HIMACT went smoothly, with participants asking interesting and relevant questions to both speakers. The speakers patiently answered each question, providing valuable advice and offering in-depth insights into the world of scholarships and competitions. The discussions that took place inspired and motivated HIMACT participants to develop their potential and strive for success in the future.
HMPS S1 Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Jepang Undip successfully sowed seeds of inspiration and helped foster the spirit of BKJ students in achieving excellence. The event not only provided practical information about scholarships and competitions but also opened new perspectives for participants about the opportunities and challenges in the BKJ field. It is hoped that through the experiences and knowledge shared by the guest speakers, HIMACT has encouraged students to continue excelling, fearlessly face challenges, and pursue their dreams in the field of Japanese Language and Culture.
With the ignited spirit of HIMACT, it is expected that BKJ students at Diponegoro University will continue to grow and achieve remarkable accomplishments in the future, while becoming ambassadors committed to preserving and promoting the Japanese Language and Culture in Indonesia.
