Semarang, May 6, 2024 – A festive atmosphere enveloped the University of Riau at the 2024 Bunkasai XVII UNRI. Various interesting events were held, one of which was the Shuji competition. In the midst of tight competition, Asbi Suar Fandi, a student of the Japanese Language and Culture Department of Diponegoro University, managed to come out as the first winner.
Asbi showed his excellence in writing Japanese characters with beautiful and meaningful calligraphy. His written work with the theme “団結” managed to amaze the jury and outperformed the other participants.
Asbi’s victory not only made himself proud, but also made Diponegoro University proud in the national art competition arena. This achievement is expected to inspire other students to continue to develop their interests and talents in the arts.
The head of the Japanese Language and Culture study program at Diponegoro University, Zaki Ainul Fadli, expressed his pride in the success of his fostered students. “I saw great potential in Asbi Suar Fandi from the start. This victory is proof that with hard work and perseverance, we can achieve proud achievements,” he said.
Bunkasai XVII UNRI 2024, organized by the University of Riau, is an event that is highly anticipated by lovers of Japanese culture.
