Online Joint Lecture by Diponegoro University and Brawijaya University

Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, hold an online joint lecture via Zoom meeting on May 20, 2023, with the theme “Kesusastraan Jepang Pasca Perang dan Kontemporer” (“Post-War and Contemporary Japanese Literature”). This webinar is a collaboration program between the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, and the Japanese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Brawijaya University. Two speakers spoke on this webinar, Fitriana Puspita Dewi, S.S., M.Si., Ph.D. from Brawijaya University, and Dian Annisa Nur Ridha, S.S., M.A. from Diponegoro University. 

The first topic for the webinar was Post-War Japanese Literature, explained by Fitriana Puspita Dewi, S.S., M.Si., Ph.D. Her research focuses on post-war Japanese literature and gender. In this session, Fitri Sensei explained characteristics and gave some examples of post-war Japanese literature. 

The second topic was Haruki Murakami and contemporary Japanese literature, explained by Dian Annisa Nur Ridha, S.S., M.A. Her research focuses on Haruki Murakami. Dian Sensei explained modern Japanese literature and introduced some works by Haruki Murakami. 

After an explanation by the two speakers, there was a discussion. The participants were very enthusiastic. Therefore various questions arose. The participants were also from numerous backgrounds, for example, university students and lecturers.
